Sparrows Point Maryland is located in southeast Baltimore County and includes the areas of Edgemere, Sparrows Point, Millers Island and Fort Howard. Rich in history, this area was the location of the Battle of North Point during the War of 1812. While some historic landmarks, such as Bay Shore Park, are long gone, several still remain. Todds Inheritance and Fort Howard were instrumental locations during the Battle of North Point and can still be seen today. Surrounded by the Chesapeake Bay, Back River and the Patapsco River, this community offers a variety of activities for the water enthusiast. Boating, fishing and crabbing are enjoyed by many of the residents of this close knit town. Annual activities include Defenders Day, The Haunted Dungeons, Edgerock Concert and the Fireman's Carnival.

Fort Howard Maryland is located on the far end of the North Point Peninsula and is the former home of the VA Hospital. Although the VA Hospital is no longer in operation, it has been talked about for years and may be the future site of housing for seniors/veterans. The Baltimore Parks and Recreations uses the dungeons on Fort Howard to host the annual Haunted Dungeons around Halloween.
